It's time for yet another update that does not include: "We got the call!" Boo! Hiss! But I did just want to let everyone know where we are in the process. Because our USCIC paperwork expires in February and because we are dealing with government agencies, we begin this holiday season with update/renewal paperwork. I know... you wish you were me :). This was part of the deal when we moved to KY anyway, so here we go. The worst part is my fingerprinting. It took 9 months for me to clear the last go-around - never with actual fingerprints. I've done what I can to prepare for this by getting a background check before we moved. Please join us in prayer that this is cleared efficiently. I for sure have not grown new fingerprints since the last paperwork :).
The adoption situation in Ethiopia is at best unstable. I try to stay just enough informed through our agency to know where we are, but find it hard to keep track of it all. It is mentally and emotionally overwhelming.
After months of no referrals, our agency has just had 2. This is big news for us at the agency. Of course, I have no idea if this means the process is in motion again, or if this is it for a while again. I do think this puts us at number #11.
As with all events in life, I am grateful for God's Spirit. Comforter. We have no idea what is next, but He does and we can rest there.
AND a big thank you to Lara Heck for the Thirty-One Party last month. We have tucked away a few more dollars for that plane ride when the time comes!
Thank you all for you prayer and support!
