So I was thinking tonight that it is a good thing I'm not running the show because I have a lot of things on my "NO WAY IN H-E-Double-toothpicks am I doing THAT!!" list. For example:
No way am I flying over the ocean - ever!
No way am I leaving my kids for days, let alone weeks!
No way am I eating or drinking anything that's not "Americanized"!
No way am I accepting money and help from friends!
No way am I exposing myself to PARASITES!
No way am I spending ALL of our savings!
No way am I having another kid!
The list really does go on, but you get the point. I'm a homebody. If I could bathe my kids in anti-bacterial gel at night in the tub, I would do it.
But because my life is not my own - because I have the full power of Christ in me - I can do ALL THINGS through Him.
So my "NO WAY IN H-E-Double-toothpicks am I doing that!" list became my "TO DO" list.
Love this post, Dawn! So amazing how God uses us by pulling us out of our comfort zones and stretching us in ways we never thought possible. Awesome that you are willing to be stretched!
