We got word that we have our court date April 5th! We have recently booked tickets and made travel plans! We are in the process of copying paperwork, getting visas, making arrangements for the kiddos, etc. This will be our first trip to Ethiopia and will include our court date, visiting the orphanage where Esther first stayed, and spending time with her. When we first started this process, we would have brought her home with us on this first and only trip. Now, we have to leave her there and return after we have been given a visa appointment. We have been told it can take 4-6 weeks for that appointment. I can't imagine how that will feel, but as in whole process, I can only do what is directly in front of me and keep moving. There are 2 other families with court dates on April 5, so we will be able to travel with them! We are thrilled to finally have an official court date and to finally be able to meet and spend time with her.
Would you please pray for us? Specifically...
- we would all maintain good health
- fear (for me!!!) would be squelched about flying and leaving Charlotte and George
- safety in travels and in country
- we would have all we need for court - that no additional paperwork will be requested by judge
- Esther's heart would be soft to us - we are complete strangers to her
- Charlotte and George would have a safe and peaceful week without fear or worry
- gratitude and thanksgiving for God's timing and provision and love for us all
